DECEMBER

Bekalan Bantuan Kepada Orang Asli

June 21,
Disaster Emergency Preparedness Orientation
Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur

En. Mior Roslan Bin Mior Jaafar, the Safety & Security Manager of  Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur received the Certificate of Appreciation from Capt. K. Balasupramaniam, the MVFRA Chairman.

Disaster Emergency Preparedness Orientation is organized by the the Malaysian Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association (MVFRA) for our registered members and the invited professional volunteers.

The objective of this orientation is to have maximum manpower (volunteers) to stand by and ready to provide assistance during emergencies.

Like the saying goes, “Prepare the Umbrella Before the Rain”, one should be well prepared before something disastrous happens. In line with this, MVFRA is in the process of setting up the Disaster Management Preparedness Plan and has taken the first step to set up a database and to divert a proper communication channel as the part of the preparedness plan.

In view of the fact that MVFRA has a good database, we believe that MVFRA can be a very efficiency and resourceful voluntary body and can render help especially in search and rescue operations as well as providing humanitarian assistance.

Also, MVFRA is hoping that the volunteers who are either specialized in one particular skill or are managing several roles in a disaster location will play a significant role in emergency relief work.

Therefore, MVFRA wish to invite all Malaysians (above 18) who wish to contribute their voluntary services to help and assist in disaster relief work in our country, to register with DRRU.  For registration, please contact the Membership Bureau at or e-mail :
