AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENT 

 

National Youth Award
On 5th May , Vol. Capt. K. Bala led the association in achieving the ANUGERAH BELIA NEGARA, a recognition award bestowed by the Honorable Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad in conjunction with the National Youth Day celebrations.

 


The Director-General Medal
(The Highest Medal of The Fire and Rescue Department)
On 20th May , MVFRA's Chairman, Vol. Capt. K. Bala was conferred the highest award of The Fire & Rescue Dept :  Pingat Ketua Pengarah Bomba (Honorary Title of PKPB) by the Director-General of The Fire & Rescue Dept, YAS Prof Datuk Dr. Soh Chai Hock.

On the same day, MVFRA's Deputy Chairman, Vol. Capt. Mohd Sabeek was awarded the Pingat Jasa Bomba (Honorary Title of PJB) by the Director-General of Fire & Rescue Dept, YAS Prof. Datuk Dr. Soh Chai Hock.


The Fire Kids Club Safety Workshop
On 18th July , MVFRA was awarded the Certificate of Achievements by the Director-General of Fire & Rescue Dept, YAS Prof Datuk Dr. Soh Chai Hock for the the association’s effort for having trained more than 1,500 children throughout the country within a span of one year.


The Biggest National Flag by using Empty Mineral Water Bottle.
This gigantic symbol of national pride measures 29.3m by 13.2m, weighs 600kg and has a thickness if nearly 9cm.

This giant flag is made from 11,620 (1.5l) and 1,246 (500ml) bottles and its took 45 days to create.

This creation was officiated by YB Datuk Megat Junid Bin Megat Ayob, the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs on 16th August .

On 26th December , the association received the Certificate of Appreciation from the Honorable Prime Minister, YB Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad in appreciation for building the Biggest Jalur Gemilang. It was displayed at the Dataran Merdeka during the 42nd National Day celebrations on 31st August .


The Institution of Fire Engineers (UK) Malaysia Branch
MVFRA received a Certificate of Appreciation from The Institution of Fire Engineers (UK) Malaysia Branch in recognition of the volunteers’ efforts in creating public awareness on fire safety.


Loyal Service Medal
In , MVFRA's Chairman, Vol. Capt. K. Bala was awarded the Pingat Jasa Bomba (Honorary Title of PJB) by the Director-General of Fire & Rescue Dept, YAS Prof. Datuk Dr. Soh Chai Hock.

 


Kampung Limau Fire Tragedy
On 14th Sept , one week after the Kampung Limau Fire Tragedy, MVFRA was presented with The Certificate of Appreciation by the Member of Parliament, YB Datuk Kamal Hassan for the volunteers’ effort in assisting in fire fighting and rescue operations and also providing aid to the fire victims.
 


Training program for the Handicapped, the Deaf and the Blind
On 16th October , MVFRA received the PINGAT PUTERI ISLAM from The Chairlady, YB Datin Dr. Wan Azizah in conjunction with the special training program initiated by Capt. K. Bala for the Handicapped, the Deaf and the Blind. This program was successfully held at the Balakong Special School for the handicapped.

 


Hill View Highland Tower Tragedy
On 13th January , MVFRA received the Certificate of Appreciation from the Honorable Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad in regconition of the volunteers’ efforts during the rescue operations in the nation’s ,most devastating tragedy, the Hill View Highland Tower collapsed on 11 December .
 


The Most Active Fire & Rescue Association
In , the association was recognized as the Most Active Fire & Rescue Association by the Fire & Rescue Department. This recognition award was given for the association’s efforts in providing assistance during the country’s major fire tragedies.
 


The Fire Hydrant Marshal
In conjunction with the Hydrant Adoption Programme, the association was conferred with The Fire Hydrant Marshal by The Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government, YB Datuk Usop Hj. Sukam. This award is in recognition to the volunteer’s efforts in creating public awareness on the importance of maintaining fire hydrants.
